Throughout the years i've been plodding along on my way drawing leisurely and having a great time with it, those people around me all say i have a talent and should do something with it, and i really wish i could, but i have little clue on how to go about it, and i don't think im anywhere near good enough to compete with the fantastic artists that are out there. my plan is to practice as much as i can, and hopefully improve somewhat. if anyone has any ideas on how i can get further with my artwork then please let me know, it'd be greatly appreciated.

just a little update on whats going on with me artwise methinks...

First up, the graphic novel i was working on is being put on hold, it's too big an undertaking for me to pull off as well as i'd like right now. instead though, i'll be working on a regularly updated webcomic, with a lighthearted take on what my friends and i would do should zombies ever invade. should be fun

besides this though, i'm trying to take my artwork in different directions, by trying out new things, fingerling, is a small example of that i suppose. shes by no means perfect, but then again, she was never supposed to be

Oh, and i'll be purchasing my first drawing tablet come friday, i can't wait!

Heyhey!

Just thought i'd say hi to all those people watching me, and that you can expect me to be a lot more active on here from now on, from updating my own works to the C&C on your own i can see you're all doing fantastically with your art!

The Manga/Graphic Novel i am working on with a friend is coming along swimmingly, and i'll be working on the artwork for it shortly, i'm unsure whether to keep it under wraps until its completion, which could be a long long while, show it to you as i go, which might ruin the finished product, or giving you teasers we'll see how that goes either way expect a website and forum for it soon though!

I've gotten myself into the habit of drawing out photos in my own style recently, basically a little manga'd up, its how the picture of my girlfriend and i thats just been put up started. it only takes about 20 minutes for a decent sketch to come out of it, so if anyone is interested in a sketch of themselves, let me know and send me a picture may colour it too if i like it enough... or have time

Heyhey, it's been a while since i've put anything up here hasnt it? i've had a lot going on for a while now, which has either left me in no mood to be arty, or with no time, i've now been picking up where i left off though, and have a few decent sketches and a model (which will be posted real soon) to show for it, the new problem is my scanner is dead :/ that means i cant get my sketches onto this laptop to colour, or to show just yet. i should have one real soon.

and though ive not commented much at all recently, i've been keeping an eye on all your new art, everyone, you're all awesome, looks like i have some work to do if i want to catch up to all of your skills

It's been a little while since i've posted around here, and submitted anything really, but thats sorted now, with my new picture done for my wonderful girl, hope you all enjoy that

And a pretty awesome thing happened to me the other day, well to me it is anyways...

I was sat sketching in the staff canteen before work when a random guy comes and sits down next to me and starts chatting away about my pictures, and stuff. It turns out he works at the park (i work at a theme park, blackpool pleasure beach, if you know it) making, preparing and painting the huge statues and decorations around the park and in the rides, and said i should speak to the head of that department about being transferred over there.
to cut it short, I've got to see the manager next week, with a load of my work, pictures, models and all, so he can decide if he wants me aboard. hopefully it'll go well, and i can get out of retail, and into something i can enjoy!
